We are frequently asked which supplements can support children with neurodivergent conditions. Certain studies show some evidence that certain nutrients can play a role in reducing or improving symptoms associated with an ADHD or Autism diagnosis.

Our recommendation for a brilliant all-round support, according to many reports from users of Mighty Kids, would be the Mighty Kids multivitamin (including B vitamins, vitamin D, zinc, and several other nutrients), alongside the Mighty Kids magnesium.
Our fantastic omega-3 will soon be available which will also pair brilliantly with the multivitamin and the magnesium.

Low levels of nutrients can lead to increased irritability, hyperactivity, and other behaviour problems which may mimic or exacerbate conditions like ADHD.
While deficiencies or insufficiencies alone are not considered a direct cause of ADHD or other neurodivergent conditions, they may contribute to or worsen symptoms in children who are already prone to attention and hyperactivity issues or low mood and anxiety symptoms.
We have had absolutely incredible reviews from parents reporting improvements in many symptoms when including the Mighty Kids supplements.

Studies show that omega-3 can improve focus, while vitamin D and Zinc can support brain function and impulse control.
Magnesium, the miracle mineral, helps with relaxation and sleep, and B vitamins aid neurotransmitter production for better mood and attention.
Although supplements are not a cure, they can be a game-changer when combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle. While not all neurodivergent conditions respond to supplements in the same way, supplementation can play a significant role in supporting brain function and overall well-being in neurodivergent individuals.

Autism (ASD)
Some research suggests that omega-3s, probiotics, vitamin D, and magnesium may help with mood regulation, gut health, and inflammation.

Dyslexia & Dyspraxia
Omega-3s, zinc, and iron have been explored for their role in cognitive function and motor coordination.

Anxiety & Depression (common in neurodivergent individuals).
Magnesium, B vitamins, probiotics, and amino acids like L-theanine may help regulate neurotransmitters and reduce stress.

Research indicates magnesium deficiency is linked to hyperactivity and impulsivity. A study highlighted that 72% of children with ADHD exhibited low magnesium levels. We have no shortage of rave reviews about the Mighty Kids magnesium and its help to calm the nervous system. We call it the miracle mineral for a reason!
Vitamin B6 is a key supplement for mood, it helps produce neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. B6 is best taken in balance with the other B vitamins and in the correct active form of P5P – the Mighty Kids multivitamin has you covered for this.
Vitamin D supplementation has been shown to have small but statistically significant improvements in total ADHD scores, and attention, hyperactivity, and behaviour.
Multiple studies suggest omega-3’s, especially EPA and DHA, can improve attention, impulse control, and cognitive function in children with ADHD.
Zinc is involved in dopamine regulation, which is crucial for attention and impulse control. Some studies show lower levels in children with ADHD. High doses should be monitored to avoid copper deficiency.
The Mighty Kids multivitamin is formulated to provide a daily amount of zinc to adequately support levels without causing unwanted imbalances.
